Prajakta Koli and Vrishank Khannal to break traditional norms; opt for female pandit to perform wedding rituals

Prajakta Koli, star of Mismatched, is set to marry her long-time boyfriend, Vrishank Khanal, on 25th February 2025. Pinkvilla has exclusively revealed that, in line with Koli’s wishes, the wedding ceremonies will be officiated by a female pandit. The couple will exchange vows at the stunning Oleander Farms in Karjat, a tranquil and picturesque venue nestled amidst nature.

The couple would be dressed in customised ensembles designed by Anita Dongre for their big day. In a heartfelt gesture, the bride-to-be also donned her mother’s wedding saree and jewellery for one of the pre-wedding functions. The guest list boasts several notable names, including Varun Dhawan, Vidya Balan, Badshah, and Raftaar.

Prajakta Koli delighted her Instagram followers today by sharing captivating glimpses from her sangeet ceremony, which was nothing short of a visual spectacle. Fully embracing the essence of a traditional Marathi bride, she looked resplendent in a classic saree, accessorised with a choker necklace, a Marathi nath (nose ring), bangles, a chandrakor bindi, and her hair adorned with gajra. Her fiancé, Vrishank Khanal, perfectly complemented her look, exuding sophistication in a sleek black outfit.

The couple got engaged in 2023. Speaking to Pinkvilla about their wedding plans, the Jugjugg Jeeyo actress confirmed that it was indeed happening, remarking, “Engagement naturally leads to marriage.”

Prajakta on work front

Prajakta Koli is one of the most successful influencers today. She began her career as a radio intern before venturing into content creation with her YouTube channel, MostlySane. As her popularity soared, she transitioned into acting, initially featuring in TVF videos.

Her major breakthrough came with Jugjugg Jeeyo, a Dharma Productions film. More recently, she reprised her role in the third season of Netflix’s Mismatched, starring alongside Rohit Saraf.
